Really pleasant experience while renting this car. Staff was nice and ready to help. Car was clean and ready to hit the highway. Always great time when a plan falls together effortlessly.
We originally reserved a car in Moline from 6/14-6/21. We were to fly from Mesa to Moline on 6/14. Due to problems with Allegiant Airlines, we missed our flight. The closest site to get a same day flight was to fly to Sioux Falls, SD later in the day (the next flight to Moline, IL was 2 days later. We went to the Alamo counter in Mesa after missing our flight, and the gentleman there said to change the weekly rental from Moline to Sioux Falls (with drop off in Moline) would be substantially higher, and we would be better off to have a 24 hr rental from Sioux Falls and drop off in Moline and still take our original contract for a weekly rental there. This was not a problem, except the agent in Mesa booked our reservation in Sioux Falls for 6/15, instead of 6/14 (even though we told him we were catching a flight in a couple of hours). The agent in Sioux Falls told us he could only give us a Dodge Caravan, since the reservation was made the wrong day, and that even cars coming in later that day had already been reserved for other parties. This was very frustrating. Once we got to Moline, where we have always had good service, we turned the car on on 6/15 and got a Mazda 3, the type of car we reserved and wanted. The folks in Moline gave us good service again, as always. I don't know why the gentleman in Mesa booked us in SD for the wrong date. Dave Hillis
